Melanie Knit Dress

My adorable little girls see me sewing all the time. Their closet is full of handmade goodness from me and they think I make everything. They are proud to tell complete strangers that I made the dress, shirt or pants they are wearing. One question I get a lot from them is, "Is that for the store?" Since I am often sewing for my shop. Today, my little Ellie asked me that when she saw the finished dress sitting out.

I told her, "No, that dress is for you and Emma." She just beamed. I asked her if she wanted to put it on and sure enough, she did.

This is the Melanie Knit Dress. It is a loose fitting dress with contrasting dude gores that have large pockets perfect for your little princess to store all her treasures.

I've made my girls one before and have made a custom ordered one before. Sadly, the ones I made
my girls are getting way too short to wear as a dress. While they can still wear it with leggings, I wanted them to have another one in the correct size for their added height. I happen to have enough leftover fabric to make one or maybe two more just like this one depending on size ordered. It is $40 plus shipping and any applicable tax. It will be made after ordering, do please allow 2-3 weeks for me to finish it and ship it to you. Comment with your PayPal address and size and I'll send you an invoice. I have enough to make it in sizes 2-6.

Something new

I've decided that I'm going to start a blog to share with all of you wonderful customers a little bit more. I will, of course, still be posting on my facebook business page along with instagram. When I get around to it, I will update stuff on pinterest, as well.

Today, I want to share what I'm doing. One of the pattern designers for one of the patterns I use in the dresses I make asked if people would be willing to help her make dresses to send to Kenya, Africa for the girls there. I volunteered to make two and then I got in the car accident that has taken much longer than I anticipated to recover from. Thankfully, I am doing better now and am able to sew up the dresses before it's too late for them to go in this shipment. I'm excited to have my dresses go to such a worthy cause.
